The Cathedral of the Madeleine is shown here in it’s grandeur against the soaring Wasatch front in Salt Lake City. Built in 1909, it serves as the Cathedral or mother church for the Diocese of Salt Lake City. It is the only Cathedral in the United States under the patronage of St Mary Magdalene.
Located near the banks of and on a bend in the Mississippi River, is Historic Nauvoo. In the early 1840's, pioneer settlers who were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints bought the land, cleared the swamp, and settled here in hopes that this would be their zion. Before they were driven out, they built a temple to make covenants with God, and after they left, it was destroyed by fire and weather. In 2002 after three years of construction, the temple was rebuilt and is in operation to this day.
Miller Park–Home of the Milwaukee Brewers
Located outside of downtown Milwaukee, is the modern home of the Milwaukee Brewers, an MLB team located in Southern Wisconsin. A unique fan shaped retractable roof provides its signature look. SkyBlodgett happened to be in Milwaukee and had a few minutes to capture the stadium, hopefully next time the roof will be open.
An aerial tour of the Winter Quarters Temple in Omaha Nebraska of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This temple was built to serve members in the state of Nebraska and members who come during the summer months to learn more about the pioneers who spent the brutal winter of 1846-1847.
Originally dedicated as the 14th operating temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, this temple looked nearly identical to the Provo Utah Temple, a two hour drive away.
Between 2010 and 2014, the entire exterior of the temple was replaced as electrical, heating, and plumbing were updated into what the temple looks like today.
